The Third Reality Smart Plug is a simple solution to make intelligent appliances even smarter, such as lights, fans, coffee makers, and more. The updated Smart Plug Gen2 retains all the previous features and upgrades with real-time power monitoring and restore status.

The Smart Plug offers a variety of advanced features:

Schedule and Timer Function: Set schedules or timers to automatically turn on/off any home electronic appliances, making your life more intelligent.

Group Control: Along with the Smart App, you can enjoy a range of advanced group features for your smart home.

Remote Control: Easily control your home appliances anytime, anywhere, without any limitations of time or distance.

Voice Control: When connected with compatible Echo Devices or other Zigbee hubs that work with smart speakers, you can use voice commands to turn your plugs on/off.

Energy Monitoring and Dashboard: In the SmartThings App, you can see the energy cost, history, and dashboard, and then create routines. This feature is also available on ZHA and Z2M platforms.

Restore Status: The restore status function, available on ZHA & Z2M, allows users to customize the on/off status after power-on.

Remote Control and Real-time Energy Monitoring: In Hubitat, you can remotely control the smart plug and see the real-time energy cost.

Real-time Monitoring, Total Consumption, and History: Third Reality supports remote control, total consumption, real-time power monitoring, and restore status.

The Third Reality Smart Plug uses Zigbee Low Energy Mesh wireless technology, which allows for a farther reach, enabling whole-home installations. Each plug can act as a signal repeater, ensuring the Alexa Echo device can control the plug even if it's out of reach.

If the Smart Plug Gen2 is paired with a Hubitat hub but you can't see the current state or control it, you should change the device type to "Generic Zigbee Outlet" in Hubitat, and it should work properly.

The energy monitoring dashboard is available in SmartThings and Home Assistant (Z2M/ZHA), allowing you to create routines based on consumption levels.

The restore status function, which lets users customize the on/off state after power-on, is available on the ThirdReality App and Home Assistant Zigbee 2 MQTT.

To move the Plug Gen2 to another Echo device, make sure to remove it from the Alexa app and wait 30 minutes for cloud synchronization before pairing it with a different Echo device.

The Third Reality Smart Plug is compatible with Zigbee hubs or Echo devices with Zigbee hubs, such as Echo (4th Gen), Echo Plus (1st Gen and 2nd Gen), Echo Studio, Eero 6, Eero Pro 6, Home Assistant, SmartThings 2015/2018, Aeotec, Hubitat, and the ThirdReality Hub.

The smart plug's space-saving design maximizes efficiency and convenience, and the setup is straightforward, with compatible Echo devices automatically discovering the plug when you say "Alexa, discover my devices."
